For me, standing for hours, shoulder to shoulder with a few thousand people on a hot sticky night is not exactly my idea of having a good tie, but they are certainly beautiful.

I don’t like to stand in the crowds for hours personally neither. But it is magical experience. I would rather be in summer rather than in winter.
Sounds and smell, real experience can’t be done with live streaming.
You are right. I actually enjoyed the few times I've been to a fireworks display. I was also much younger.
